A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on February 12 at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center to dedicate a new passenger van to be used in Homeless Outreach efforts. The van was donated by the family of the late LT Gregory F. Zavota, US Army.

Lieutenant Zavota was known for his courage, compassion and humanity. After his death, his family used all the insurance benefits toward charitable causes their son would have supported, including establishing a scholarship in his name, funding the renovation of a VA physical therapy unit in Rhode Island, and purchasing vans to donate to VA’s for homeless Veteran outreach.
