The Canandaigua VA Medical Center Social Work Evidence-Based Practice Committee in partnership with the Rochester Vet Center present:

Evidenced Based Practices for Substance Abuse in

Veterans with PTSD

This conference will focus on evidenced based therapies in addressing substance abuse in the presence of trauma in the Veteran community such as Mindfulness, DBT, EMDR and the role of medications. Presenters include: Dr. Matthew Tessena, Suboxone provider, VA; Katie Burbee, LCSW , Freedom Village; Julia Parker, LCSW-R, PRRC VA;  a Veteran, a caregiver and a first responder.
