Sweet Summer Sounds
The Teagan Taylor Trio, a jazz group based in California, stopped by to entertain Veterans of Canandaigua VA Medical Center during the band's regional tour. They performed an hour-long outdoor set on the grounds of the medical center July 10. The audience warmed up quickly as the trio launched into standards such as Little Willie John's "Fever". They kept cool in the shade while singer/trumpeter Teagan Taylor let out "Summertime, and the living's easy..." And it was. Teagan's twin brother Dylan and her father Tim backed her on the up-tempo rendition. There was finger snapping, hand clapping and even a little in-chair dancing. The group wrapped up with a tune of theirs called "Wonderland." The Veterans closed the set with a hearty round of applause. |
